Delivery Timeframe

Delivery timeframes vary depending on the items you have ordered. Generally, Melbourne Bathroom Shop prides itself on a fast turnaround time to get your order ready for collection by our transport partners.

For small items, your order is typically processed and dispatched from our warehouse within 3-5 business days after full payment is received. For bulky, overweight, fragile items, or those requiring pallet packaging, additional time may be required to prepare your order safely. Special order items may also take longer since they are dispatched only after being received from our suppliers.

Important: Pre-order or made-to-order items do not follow standard timeframes. These orders generally require between 2 to 12 weeks (or as agreed) and the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) provided on our website is indicative only at the time the order is placed with the supplier. ETAs are subject to change without prior notice. We advise you not to schedule any installations until you have received your items in good condition.

Please note that our standard delivery timeframe assumes that you have ordered the correct items, made full payment, provided a deliverable address, and that someone is available to receive the delivery. Incorrect or incomplete addresses (such as using a PO Box for bulky items) may lead to delays.

Delivery Option – Melbourne Bathroom Shop Driver

For delivery by our Melbourne Bathroom Shop driver, our T&Cs are outlined below:

  • Our dispatch team will contact you during the handling period to arrange a suitable delivery time. You can opt to delay or reschedule at this time. Please ensure you are available; otherwise your order may be delayed.
  • Your order can be expected to be delivered within one business week, including handling and delivery. This excludes delays beyond our control (public holidays, supplier delays, etc.).
  • Prior to delivery you will be contacted by our dispatch team to confirm the day. The day before, the driver will provide an approximate two‑hour delivery window. Timeframes are estimates; we will notify you of significant delays.
  • All delivery services are to the doorstep, driveway, garage, or carport only. Drivers and staff are not permitted to enter premises due to OHS requirements.
  • All services require safe and reasonable access. Steep or unmade driveways, narrow streets, or obstructions may render delivery unavailable.
  • All delivery services are a One Person Service (unless a Two Person Delivery Service has been booked). You must arrange someone capable of assisting with unloading bulky items.
  • A Two Person Delivery Service is required if you have not arranged assistance for bulky items.
  • Drivers reserve the right to reschedule if assistance is required but not provided.
  • Two Person Delivery Services incur additional charges, are subject to availability, and must be paid prior to booking.
  • To meet service timelines, orders must be placed before the applicable cutoff time.

Delivery Fees & Surcharges

Delivery costs vary by product and are calculated based on the size, weight, cubic volume of your order, and destination. To estimate your delivery cost, add items to your cart and review the shipping cost on the cart page. Or contact us by call or email for delivery charge quote. 

Please Note: All home deliveries are made to the garage only. For multi‑story buildings, drivers will deliver to the ground floor only. For bulky or palletised orders, you are responsible for unloading unless you have selected a tailgate truck service. Tailgate trucks can only unload at a designated location; drivers will not unload items from the pallet for you.

Additional Charges

Additional charges may apply in the following situations:

  • Tailgate Truck or Two‑Person Delivery: Actual surcharge invoiced by the transport company (estimated around $275).
  • Re‑delivery or Address Changes: $35 for small items; $165 for palletised items.
  • Unsuccessful Delivery Attempts: If delivery fails due to incorrect address, non‑attendance, or inaccessible premises, a “Futile Delivery” charge of $35 (small items) or $165 (palletised goods) will apply.

Changes to Orders & Delivery Address

Melbourne Bathroom Shop assumes all order information is correct and does not verify delivery addresses. For residential deliveries, include first and last name only (no business name). A residential address remains classified as such, even if a business operates at that location.

Small items fitting a 3 kg satchel may be delivered by Australia Post; most other items use freight or courier services (TNT, CouriersPlease, Toll Express). In Melbourne metro areas, Civic Transport may also be used. We cannot deliver orders to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers. 

Important: Once an order is placed, changes to order or delivery details are generally invalid. Please review carefully before submission. Use the “Order Comments” section to request a hold if needed.

We do not accept “Authority to Leave (ATL)” instructions for units or apartments. ATL deliveries are at the customer’s risk and void all insurance. Melbourne Bathroom Shop is not responsible for loss or damage under ATL.

If you need to change order or delivery information after placing an order, please call us during business hours. Changes after dispatch may incur additional charges from the delivery company.

Order Dispatching & Tracking

Most items are in stock and ready for dispatch from our Melbourne warehouses. Some items may require at least five business days of handling if ordered from distributors or suppliers. In some cases, certain items may be dispatched directly from suppliers.

Once your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive an email with the dispatch date and a consignment note number. This email may come from Melbourne Bathroom Shop or our delivery partner. You can also track progress via the tracking link provided on our website.

We use Australia Post, CouriersPlease, TNT, and Civic Transport for deliveries. The carrier is selected based on size, destination, and service availability. For Australia Post deliveries, we recommend registering with MyPost for notifications and management.

For freight or courier deliveries, attendance and signature are required. If you are unavailable, the driver will leave a card for re‑delivery arrangements, and any additional costs will be passed on to you.

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Specific times cannot be guaranteed. For Melbourne-wide Civic Transport deliveries, we will call with an estimated two‑hour window. Extra charges may apply if the window cannot be met.

Damage in Transit – Making a Claim

Please inspect all deliveries upon receipt. Claims for damage in transit must be submitted in writing within 72 hours (3 days) of receiving your order, along with photos or videos as evidence, and must indicate that shipping insurance was selected at the time of purchase. Claims that do not meet these conditions will be rejected.

What Is Not Covered?

Damages, loss, or theft that did not occur during transit, or claims made after the 72‑hour period, will not be covered. Visible damages after installation will also be rejected.

Melbourne Bathroom Shop also offers in-person pickup from our showroom/warehouse. Please use the following updated pickup details:

Hours: Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Our showroom is open for pickup Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Please call ahead to book a pickup time. If someone else is picking up, we might require their personal details and your confirmation.

Due to limited warehouse space, orders must be picked up as soon as possible after completion.

Damaged Goods

Upon signing the delivery or pickup docket, unless otherwise noted, goods are deemed to have been delivered or collected in good order and condition, as permitted by law. You must inspect the goods immediately and report any shortages or damages within 3 days. Claims for damages to fragile items reported after 3 days will not be accepted.
