How to Choose an 1800mm Bath

An 1800mm bath is designed for bathrooms where generous bathing space is a priority and the room can comfortably accommodate a longer bath. It can work particularly well in larger family bathrooms and master bathrooms, but the full bath footprint, width and surrounding clearance should be checked carefully before ordering.

Check Internal Space as Well as Length

Two 1800mm baths can provide different internal bathing areas depending on the wall thickness, backrest angle, bowl shape and bath depth. Check the internal base dimensions as well as the external length when comparing comfort.

A longer bath can provide more room to stretch out, but it also uses more floor or wall space than common 1500mm and 1700mm sizes.

Mark the full footprint on the floor or plan before ordering, especially where the bathroom also needs a separate shower.

Plan Tapware, Waste and Overflow Early

Freestanding baths may suit wall-mounted or floor-mounted tapware depending on their position, while inset baths commonly work with wall or deck-mounted arrangements. Check spout reach and plumbing positions before waterproofing and tiling.
