Shower screen care & maintenance
Simple cleaning and regular checks can help keep your glass, frames and doors looking good and working smoothly. Use this guide alongside the care instructions supplied with your product.

The simple routine
Small habits make cleaning easier
Remove water and soap residue before they build up, and keep an eye on how the screen operates.
01 / After a shower
Clear the water
Use a soft squeegee or cloth on the glass. Wipe water from the lower edges, seals and nearby hardware.
02 / Weekly clean
Wash and dry gently
Clean the glass with warm water, a soft cloth and a little pH-neutral detergent. Rinse where appropriate, then dry.
03 / Every six months
Notice changes early
Check that doors move freely and look for loose-looking hinges, pivots, tracks, seals or fixings. Arrange an inspection if anything has changed.
Care by surface
Clean the finish you have
Different coatings and finishes can need different products. Check your product's care instructions before using a new cleaner, and test it in an inconspicuous area when advised.
Shower screen glass
Remove soap marks with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. An ammonia-free glass cleaner or methylated spirits may help with streaks if your glass coating and product instructions allow it. Apply cleaner to the cloth and keep it off nearby finishes.
Aluminium frames & channels
Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For stubborn residue, use a mild detergent if the finish permits it; rinse and dry. Avoid bleach, solvents and abrasive tools.
Mirrors & glass splashbacks
Apply a suitable cleaner to a soft cloth rather than soaking edges or joints. Keep moisture away from mirror edges and follow the manufacturer's instructions for any special finish.
Operation & upkeep
Doors, tracks and hardware
Check operation gently during normal use. Glass doors are heavy; do not tighten, lubricate or adjust glass fittings unless your product instructions specifically direct you to do so.
Sliding doors
Keep tracks clear of soap and debris. If the door becomes difficult to move, do not force it or remove the panel yourself; ask for an inspection.
Seals & water control
Clean seals gently and check for wear or separation. If water starts escaping onto nearby walls or flooring during normal use, take photos and contact us for advice.
