  • Suit for Commercial Use
  • Stainless Steel Cleaner Sink with Grate and wall brackets
  • 5 years product replacement warranty
  • Lead Time - Special Order items generally arrive within 5 business days into our warehouse and we will despatch it once it is received.
  • Care and Maintenance: It is recommended to clean the sink daily to avoid build-up of soap or mineral deposits, as these
tend to have an adverse effect on the appearance of the product. For daily cleaning use an
ordinary mild detergent and soft cloth to rinse and dry the sink. Allowing water or cleaners to
evaporate on metal will negatively impact the look of the sink. To avoid this, it is important to dry
    the sink after each use.
 To avoid unwanted build-up, it is recommended to dry your sink after each use.
 Soft abrasive cleaners may be used when necessary (Blue Scotch-Brite Pads). Strong
abrasive cleaners will scratch and dull the surface (Green Scotch-Brite Pads).
 Steel soap pads, steel wool, or wire brushes should never be used; particles can adhere to a
stainless steel sink surface and will eventually rust.

Frequently asked questions

1. What should I consider when choosing a bathroom basin?

Start with how the basin needs to work with the rest of your bathroom, particularly your vanity, benchtop, tapware and available space.

Consider:

  • Basin size and depth
  • Above-counter, inset, undermount, semi-recessed or wall-hung installation
  • Vanity and benchtop size
  • Tap-hole configuration
  • Basin mixer or wall-mounted tapware
  • Overflow or no overflow
  • Required basin waste
  • Storage space beneath the basin
  • Ease of cleaning
  • Material, shape and finish

For a family bathroom, storage and practical bowl size may be the priority. In a small ensuite or powder room, a compact wall-hung or semi-recessed basin may make better use of limited space.

2. What is the difference between above-counter, inset, undermount, semi-recessed and wall-hung basins?

An above-counter basin, also called a vessel basin, sits predominantly on top of the vanity or benchtop and creates a strong design feature.

An inset basin is installed into the benchtop, with part of the basin or rim visible above the surface.

An undermount basin is installed underneath the benchtop, creating a clean and streamlined surface above.

A semi-recessed basin is partially installed into the vanity but projects forward beyond the cabinet or benchtop. This can be useful where the vanity depth is limited.

A wall-hung basin is fixed directly to the wall without requiring a vanity cabinet underneath.

3. Which basin type is best for a small bathroom, ensuite or powder room?

For a small bathroom, look beyond basin width alone. The projection — how far the basin extends from the wall — can be just as important.

Good options can include:

  • Compact wall-hung basins
  • Semi-recessed basins
  • Small above-counter basins
  • Narrow or shallow basins
  • Basins with an integrated side shelf or tap landing

A wall-hung basin keeps the floor visible and removes the need for a full vanity cabinet, while a semi-recessed basin can provide a generous bowl without requiring an excessively deep vanity.

We recommend wall-mounted basins for freeing up space, and we also offer compact wall basins designed for small bathrooms and powder rooms.

4. Should I choose an above-counter or undermount basin?

An above-counter basin sits on the vanity top and creates a more visible design feature. It also gives you flexibility to combine different basin shapes, colours and vanity-top materials.

However, the basin adds height above the benchtop, so the final vanity height and tapware selection need to be considered carefully.

An undermount basin sits below the benchtop, creating a cleaner and more streamlined appearance. It also makes it easy to wipe water directly from the benchtop into the basin.

The right choice depends on whether you prefer a statement basin or a more integrated vanity appearance, as well as your benchtop material, available space and cleaning preferences.

5. How do I choose the right basin size for my vanity?

Check both the basin dimensions and the usable area of
the vanity top
.

Allow enough space for:

  • The basin itself
  • Tapware if it is bench-mounted
  • Comfortable hand washing
  • Items such as soap dispensers
  • Clearance from the wall and vanity edges
  • A second basin if using a double-basin vanity

Also consider how much space the basin takes up inside the vanity cabinet, particularly with inset and undermount basins where the bowl projects below the benchtop.

For above-counter basins, the bowl mainly sits above the vanity, which can help preserve some cabinet space underneath, although the waste and plumbing will still occupy part of the cabinet.

Always check the basin specification and cut-out requirements before the benchtop is manufactured or cut.

6. What height basin mixer do I need for an above-counter basin?

An above-counter basin often requires either:

  • A tall basin mixer
  • A mixer mounted through a raised tap platform; or
  • Wall-mounted basin tapware

The correct mixer height depends on the height and shape of the basin.

The outlet should sit high enough above the basin rim for comfortable hand washing, while the spout should project sufficiently into the bowl so that the water lands in an appropriate area rather than against the back edge.

A mixer that is too short may not clear the basin, while a mixer that is excessively high or poorly positioned can increase splash.

For this reason, we recommend selecting the basin and tapware together, rather than treating them as completely separate decisions.

7. What do 0 tap hole, 1 tap hole and 3 tap holes mean on a basin?

The tap-hole configuration determines what type of tapware
can be mounted directly onto the basin.

A 0 tap-hole basin has no pre-drilled tap hole and is generally used with:

  • A benchtop-mounted mixer; or
  • Wall-mounted basin tapware.

A 1 tap-hole basin is normally designed for a single basin mixer.

A 3 tap-hole basin is typically designed for a traditional three-piece tap set with separate hot and cold controls and a
central outlet.

8. What is a basin overflow, and do I need one?

A basin overflow is a secondary opening positioned near the upper part of the basin.

If the basin is being filled and the water level reaches the overflow opening, some water can flow through the overflow passage towards the waste.

Some basins include an overflow and others are intentionally designed without one.

Whether you prefer an overflow can depend on the basin design and how you use it, but the most important point when purchasing is that the basin waste must be compatible with the basin.

9. What basin waste do I need for a basin with or without an overflow?

Many bathroom basins in Australia use a 32mm basin waste, but you should always check the individual product specification.

If the basin has an overflow, use a waste designed to accommodate an overflow.

If the basin does not have an overflow, use the appropriate non-overflow waste unless the product specifies a universal waste suitable for both configurations.

Individual basin specifications also state whether an overflow or non-overflow waste is required.

Do not select a pop-up waste based only on its colour.

10. Does a bathroom basin normally include the pop-up waste?

It depends on the product.

Some basins include a waste, while many others require the waste to be purchased separately.

Before ordering, check:

  • Whether the waste is included
  • Whether the basin has an overflow
  • Required waste size
  • Whether you want the waste colour to match your tapware

Do not assume that a waste shown in a lifestyle image is automatically included with the basin.

11. Can any basin be installed on any bathroom vanity or benchtop?

No.

The basin needs to be compatible with the:

  • Vanity width and depth
  • Benchtop material
  • Available cut-out area
  • Drawer and cupboard configuration
  • Plumbing position
  • Tapware location

Inset, semi-inset and undermount basins require a specific benchtop cut-out.

Above-counter basins also require a waste hole and may require a separate tap hole through the benchtop.

A large undermount basin can interfere with drawers or internal cabinet structures, while a semi-recessed basin may require a vanity specifically designed to accommodate the basin projecting beyond the front of the cabinet.

Additional benchtop cutting requirement when some semi-inset basins are purchased with its vanity tops, demonstrating why basin and vanity compatibility should be confirmed before cutting.

12. Which basin material is best: ceramic, solid surface, concrete, glass or stone?

There is no single best basin material for every bathroom.

Vitreous china or ceramic is one of the most common choices because it provides a smooth, easy-to-clean surface and is available in a very wide range of shapes and installation styles. All our ceramic basins as vitreous china featured with an enamel coating designed to create a dense and easy-to-clean surface.

Solid-surface basins generally provide a smooth matte, stone-like appearance and work particularly well in contemporary
bathrooms.

Concrete and stone basins can provide more natural colour, texture and variation, making each basin feel more individual. Natural-looking concrete products may have variations in patina, surface and colour.

Glass basins provide another decorative option and are particularly suited to feature or statement bathrooms.

Choose according to appearance, maintenance, weight, budget and how heavily the basin will be used.

13. Are wall-hung basins a good alternative to a bathroom vanity?

Yes, particularly where space is limited or storage is not the main priority.

A wall-hung basin:

  • Takes up less visual space
  • Leaves the floor visible
  • Can make a powder room feel more open
  • Makes the floor underneath easier to access
  • Can work well with an exposed decorative bottle trap

However, you lose the storage provided by a conventional vanity cabinet.

The wall also needs to provide suitable support for the basin and installation hardware.

14. How do I clean and maintain a bathroom basin?

The correct cleaning method depends on the basin material and finish.

For most ceramic basins, regular cleaning with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge and a mild bathroom cleaner is sufficient.

Avoid abrasive pads and aggressive cleaners that may damage matte, coloured or specialised surfaces.

For concrete, natural-looking stone and solid-surface basins, follow the manufacturer's specific care instructions because these materials and protective treatments can differ from traditional glazed ceramic.

Water, toothpaste, cosmetics and soap residue should also be cleaned regularly rather than being allowed to build up.

Coloured and matte basins can make a strong design statement, but they may require different care from traditional gloss-white ceramic.
